Anand Singh

Seven years on Amazon and marketplaces. Started as the executive running an own-brand ecommerce desk on a UK electronics catalogue - eBay UK for the cable line, then Amazon for the rest. Today I lead ads and growth at a US toys-and-education brand. The work is the same at every stage: find the one thing actually breaking the account, and fix only that.

Five markets worked end-to-end: UK, US, India, UAE and KSA. Categories worked end-to-end: electronics, kitchenware, phone accessories, beauty, toys, sexual wellness and home décor.

One thing seven years has taught me - ACoS is the most misread number in Amazon advertising. Easy to blame. Easy to optimise on paper. But a 100% ACoS can print money for a brand, and a 50% ACoS can bleed it dry. The real problem is almost never what it looks like on the surface.

It started with a UK electronics catalogue and a USB-C cable that got nuked off eBay UK by a competitor's design-patent claim. I rebuilt that listing from a cold start back to category bestseller on eBay UK. The accounts have grown bigger since, the markets have spread wider, but the operating principle has not moved an inch: diagnose what is actually broken, then fix it. Not the other way around.

Most accounts I inherit are spending hard against the wrong symptom. The campaigns look tidy but the architecture is wrong. The listings look polished but the keyword targeting is off. The P&L looks fine but inventory is silently bleeding margin. The job is finding which one of those is actually the problem on your account - then doing only the things that move it. I am not selling the version of me that has never broken an account. I am selling the version that has broken plenty of them, run the RCA, and learned what to never do again.

May 2025 - Present Current

Marketing Manager · Skillmatics

USA
  • Run $5M+ in annual Amazon ad spend at roughly 9% CM2 (net profit after ads) - campaign architecture, structure and execution.
  • Rebuilt the ad strategy on two ASIN relaunches. Pulled TACoS from ~70% down to ~25% by month two, producing $408K in first-year revenue from the pair.
  • Restructured the campaign architecture from 7,200 down to 600 campaigns - switched to Auto and BMM, killed duplicates, reorganised keywords. ACoS improved with zero sales drop.
  • Cleared $453K of outdoor inventory across three variations in 2.5 months at 6% CM2 - sold out fully.
  • Built a live P&L and ads tracker at category level. Two P&Ls run from one account without spend data bleeding between them; full daily budget visibility.

  • Scaled five key brands from 40K to 100K AED monthly - part of a wider 20-brand portfolio doing 175K AED a month combined across Noon and Amazon UAE/KSA.
  • Grew a major Indian beauty brand from 2,000 to 15,000 AED a month - a 7.5x lift - by keeping supply, creatives and listings aligned.
  • Activated 40-50 SKUs across the brand portfolio. Coordinated stock, creatives and listings between brand teams and internal teams to land products live without dead stock.
  • Ran ~35K AED in combined monthly ad spend across Noon and Amazon and held TACoS in the 20-25% band across the portfolio.

  • Ran Amazon PPC and SEO across six brands on a $25M ARR Amazon USA account - personally handling $40K in monthly ad spend.
  • Drove TACoS from 35% to below 20% through keyword research, competitor work, bid control and negation. Organic share climbed from ~42% to ~67%.
  • Built Amazon SEO from scratch across all six brands - keyword strategy, listing copy and search visibility built ground-up, not inherited.
  • Identified and proposed a new product line, delivered full category sizing, competition analysis, pricing and node research, then launched and hit $60K in first-month revenue.

  • Expanded AEX from $30K to $100K monthly revenue in six months on $25K monthly ad spend - full ownership of Amazon PPC, SEO, listings and pricing on Amazon UK and eBay UK.
  • Launched the brand’s D2C website as a new direct channel. Coordinated with the dev team and secured the first organic order within 45 days.

  • Relisted patent-removed iSoul USB-C cable listings - took the product from zero to category bestseller at 15K units a month (~£37.5K monthly revenue) through Amazon SEO and ads.
  • Proposed HDMI cable as a new product line. First lot - 5,000 units at £3.99 AOV - generated ~£20K, profitable from day one.
  • Ran the full execution stack on a £500K-a-month revenue account: Amazon PPC, SEO, listings, inventory and customer service. Covered iSoul own-brand plus reseller operations for Duracell, Panasonic and Energizer across Amazon UK and eBay UK.
